October 2014 NY Enterprise Technology Meetup

  • Oct 29, 2014 · 6:45 PM

Join fellow technologists, entrepreneurs, and investors for the NY Enterprise Technology Meetup's (NYETM) October meetup on Wednesday 10/29/14 from 6:45pm-9:00pm!

For our October meetup we have some exciting companies demoing their technologies, including:

Handshake - Handshake's mission is to transform how brands serve independent stores through stand-out user experiences. Today, we make the best apps for brands that help them sell to the stores that carry their products.  Our mobile apps replace catalogs and order forms for the brand's sales reps during customer appointments, and we enable stores to order direct from the brand with our B2B web eCommerce platform.

• OpDemand - OpDemand is the creator and maintainer of Deis, a next-generation application platform that increases the productivity of enterprise software teams. Deis combines revolutionary Linux container technology with trusted distributed systems infrastructure to create a private PaaS that allows software teams to deploy and scale applications in seconds. Unlike other PaaS solutions, Deis dramatically simplifies large-scale platform operations through its unique use of Docker and CoreOS. Deis is a leading open source project with 60+ external contributors and a vibrant community

• SecurityScorecard - SecurityScorecard helps organizations in today’s increasingly interconnected world better manage all key risks their information systems and those of their partners face every second of every day.  Its risk grading service gives you continuous insight into the risks your company and your business partners are facing in minutes, not months.  By collecting and contextualizing millions of signals across all key risk categories into its big data analysis engine, SecurityScorecard provides real-time threat intelligence that you can act on to improve the security posture of your information ecosystem.  Founded in 2013 by an experienced CTO and CSO, Security Scorecard is privately-held with headquarters in New York.  Major investors include Atlas Ventures, BOLDstart Ventures and Evolution Equity Partners, among others.

BlueTalon - BlueTalon safeguards access to data that is spread across Hadoop, SQL and NoSQL data platforms. Our Fortune 500 customers use the BlueTalon Data Server to provide their users secure role-based access to data without the need to modify applications or data sources. BlueTalon lets financial services, healthcare and other enterprises unlock value from even the most sensitive data without compromising compliance or security.

Sign up today, and if you have any questions, please contact Jon Lehr at [masked].

Looking forward to seeing you all soon!
