====================

Join fellow technologists, entrepreneurs, and investors for the NY Enterprise Technology Meetup's (NYETM) October meetup on Wednesday 10/18/17 from 6:00pm-8:30pm!

For our October meetup we'll have two exciting companies demoing their technologies as well as a keynote.

Keynote

"AI in Practice: Using AI research in real applications" by Sarah Bird, Technical Program Manager in AI Research at Facebook.

Sarah is a technical program manager in AI Research at Facebook. At Facebook, she leads strategic projects to accelerate the adoption and impact of AI research in products. Prior to joining Facebook, Sarah was an AI systems researcher at Microsoft Research NYC and a Technical Advisor to Microsoft’s Data Group. As a researcher, she worked to design and develop new AI systems and deploy them in novel applications inside Microsoft. As a technical advisor, Sarah advised product leadership on technology strategy and worked with teams to make products more intelligent. She has a Ph.D. in computer science from UC Berkeley advised by Dave Patterson, Krste Asanovic, and Burton Smith.

Demos

• Clarke (http://www.clarke.ai) - Clarke helps consultants and salespersons to spend more time with their customers and drop fewer balls by outlining conversations and keeping track of action items. Clarke's approach to voice avoids behavior change or the introduction of awkward command interfaces as Clarke joins calls and meetings like any other participant. He observes and understands how and why humans discuss work to anticipate needs while understanding context and actions better than any other voice tool.
The larger vision is for Clarke to take the busy work out of meetings and accomplish tasks arising from meetings. All the while training to be your best employee knowledge base across teams or roles. Oral histories within companies are horribly dark and broken requiring an expensive learning curve.

• Lately (http://www.trylately.com) - Lately is the first, self-service SaaS platform for complete marketing how-to, so marketers can collaboratively plan, execute and analyze all their marketing from one, central dashboard. Each year, marketers waste $83 Billion trying to organize their teams, fundamental marketing processes common to every business regardless of industry or size, and the mess of disparate tools infamously known as the marketing “Frankenstack.” Lately consolidates and streamlines people, processes and tools into a single, step-by-step playbook, pulling back the “black curtain” of marketing so anyone – from CMOs to nonprofits to 30 million U.S. small business owners – can understand and execute all their marketing in one place at an affordable price point.

Sign up today, and if you have any questions, please contact Jon Lehr at jon@nyetm.com.

Looking forward to seeing you all soon!

Yours in collaboration,
Jon
