The 87th Hardware Meetup is hosted during ClimateWeek NYC so we are featuring technologies that help address climate action! This event is brought to you in partnership with Women Who Hardware x Newlab x Scale For ClimateTech. We'll be meeting in-person at Newlab in the Brooklyn Navy Yard.

If you can't be there in person, tune in online via Zoom!

This month we're sponsored by Duro, an award-winning Product Lifecycle Management tool for agile and distributed hardware teams. The platform is the single source of truth for all product design and supply chain data, giving engineers, suppliers and manufacturers uninterrupted access to the latest information.

We'll have a different format for this meetup - a panel discussion! Panelists include:

  • Sashti Balasundaram, Founder, We Radiate, a smart-sensor for compost systems and network of connected compost sites to create healthier soils faster, and educates composters and elected officials to improve their operations
  • Abigail Jablansky, Business Development Lead, Amogy, a novel portable carbon-free energy system using ammonia as a renewable fuel
  • Jeffrey Prosserman, Co-founder and CEO, Voltpost, a solution to retrofit lampposts into smart electric vehicle charging stations.
  • Krystal Persuad, Founder, Grouphug Solar, a window solar charger, and Co-Founder of Wildgrid Solar, a solar marketplace dedicated to connecting and educating Millennials & Gen Zers to affordable renewable energy options.
  • Moderated by Shelby Thompson, Program Director, Scale For ClimateTech

Here’s the agenda:

  • 6:30 - 6:45pm: Mix, mingle, and grab a drink
  • 6:45 - 7:00pm: Welcome notes
  • 7:00 - 7:45pm: Panel discussion with climate hardwarians
  • 7:45-8pm: Audience Q&A
  • 8-8:45pm: Open Mic! Anyone can take center stage for a hardware demo or talk—lasting up to 2 minutes. It's a great opportunity to showcase your project or startup provided it's in a hardware or hardware adjacent space.
  • 8:45-9:30pm: Networking
  • After Hours: In keeping with IRL Hardware Meetup tradition, we'll head to the Randolph Beer DUMBO after the event to continue the conversation over a drink or two.
