MISSION
Western Civilization is in the bewildering predicament of having the foundation of Christian faith upon which it was built seemingly undermined by its own crowning achievements in scientific discovery. Though the enormity of the prehuman past and of the universe beyond our world cannot be undiscovered, we would do well not to disregard the truths that our ancestors learned surviving the gauntlet of premodern human history, lest we self-deludedly return to the bloody mire out of which they uplifted our world in pursuit of divinity.
The mission of this group is to look honestly both at the material realities revealed in science and at the divine truths revealed in life's tribulations, and to probe the mystery of their coexistence for glimpses of a new way of understanding both coherently, a way that can lead us toward the light in the darkest of circumstances while maintaining its agreement with natural cosmology. However far in the future it will come (perhaps extremely far), we will know it only when we find it, and it can only be all-encompassing. Perhaps it is best sought together!
Everyone is welcome, so long as you come with the curiosity to find answers in other people's insights, the humility to consider criticism openly, and the respect for your own beliefs to defend them forthrightly and civilly. Whether you're atheist, agnostic, Christian, Jewish, Muslim, Buddhist, Hindu, or otherwise, we want to hear from you! Whether you know about physics, biology, history, business, AI, something else, or just a lot of life experience, we need your insight! Whichever side of the mountain you're on, it's an uphill climb to the peak. Synthesis toward the truth is the goal.
