What we’re about
This is a group for newcomers to Nyack and Rockland county looking to explore the area, discover cool places and activities, and connect with other recent arrivals. There will be opportunities for touring historical and artistic sites, outdoor recreational activities, dining and exploring local businesses and programs... A primary emphasis will be socializing with a diverse set of neighbors, exchanging tips and ideas for a more enjoyable and easeful integration into this area and building community through shared experience and a spirit for adventure.
Living in the area a year or less might define 'newcomer' to the area, but whatever that means to you.
Open to considering any suggestions for events, tours, activities!
Respect for differing political, religious and ideological points of view are a must. Bigotry, sexism, classism don't fly.
