Join us for this fun and interesting evening where you will meet more people in 60 minutes than you could meet in a whole month on your own! Our Social Networking After Work Party is designed to be perfect for people looking for new friends and connections. So whether you are new to the city, tired of their current social groups, interested in sharing common interests or maybe even making business connections, this event is for you!

The night will feature ice breaker games with prizes and several rounds of speed socializing. Our past events have even been featured on MTV NEWS!

Here’s how it works:

• Everyone will be given a “Social Sheet.” This is where you can jot down the name and code numbers of those you want to share your info with. This is the only way that you will be expected to exchange info during the event.
• To get things going we will have an ice breaker game to liven up the atmosphere.
• Following that we’ll have everyone head to the Common Interests Corners (a quirky way of putting people with common interests together).

Finally, we will randomly put you with others to socialize with. You will meet with at least 15 people for 3 minutes each using both prepared and your own questions that will help you find people you may want to stay in contact with. Please note that you will be meeting both men and women. When you are finished you can stay at the bar and continue conversations with the people you met.

FAQS:

How many members will attend? This is a multi-Meetup group event. This page only shows a small portion of the actual attendees. Based on other RSVPs and members who have already prepaid, we'll have a good amount attending!

Can I come alone? Yes about 90% of those attending will be coming solo. But you can also invite friends to join you. Everyone must have a ticket to enter.

What is the suggested age range? We get a good mix of ages but this particular event usually attracts mostly 30s & 40s.

Is there a dress code? We recommend neat casual. No sweats. Jeans ok.

• Arrive at the Playwright Irish Pub at 6:30pm for registration, your code name and number.

• Finally, we’ll start our Speed Socializing rounds where you will randomly socialize with at least 15 people for 3 minutes each using both prepared and your own questions that will help you find people you may want to stay in contact with. Please note that you will be paired with both men and women.
• When the socializing rounds are finished you can stay at the bar and continue conversations with the people you met.

Rules For The Social Circles After Work Party:

1. You may give your personal or professional info to someone but you CANNOT ask for someone else’s.
2. No last names.
3. No asking someone for a date (you can do this at a later time if you find you have that type of connection). This just takes the pressure off everyone.
4. If you are there to sell real estate, promote a pyramid or Ponzi scheme or ask inappropriate questions you will be asked to leave.

HOW DOES IT WORK?

We will break participants into pairs of two, just like we do with traditional speed dating. You will get to speak to each dates for a specified amount of time (typically 4-6 minutes). After the specified number of minutes, the guys will rotate to the next date and the process continues.

Just like with traditional speed dating, at the end of the event you will be able to let us know who you were interested in. We will send you both mutual matches (you picked them and they picked you) as well as one way matches (they picked you but you did not pick them).

You are given 20 minutes from the end of the event to let us know who you are interested in and will receive the results the same night (usually within one hour) or the next morning. You will not have to wait 24 hours or more to get your results.

The minimum number of potential dates will be 5 and the maximum will be about 10. If there are less than 5 members of the opposite sex in attendance, you will get credit for a future virtual event.

How do I find the Zoom Room?

After you purchase your ticket, you will get a confirmation appear on your screen along with the Zoom link for you to use to log in.
Cost? Between $23-$25 depending on how early you register.

THIS IS NOT A TRADITIONAL SIT DOWN DINNER! Hudson Eats in Brookfield Place is like an indoor city of restaurants overlooking the Hudson River! It truly will be a Dinner “Party” where you will come together to enjoy conversations, beverages and an amazing selection of food choices from Chop’d, Delfriscos Grill, FUKU, Dos Toros Taqueria, Ani Ramen House, Blue Ribbon Sushi Num Pang, Mighty Quinn’s BBQ, Tartinery, Northern Tiger and more. This is not meant to be a formal sit down dinner. Check in, socialize and grab food and drinks at any of the restaurants then come back to our group area to eat drink and socialize. Eat and drink as much or as little as you want. Pay as you go. The group will also enjoy the art installations at The Winter Garden and Cocktails at the outside Portside Patio weather permitting
How it works:

• Our host will be on site at 7pm at a designated area. We’ll send you their contact info in case you can’t find them.
• We’ll have a home base table set up for our members and friends to gather at, socialize, eat and drink.
• Brookfield Place has a food court featuring over a dozen different restaurant stands. You can check in socialize then wander to grab a bite and bring it back to our table.
• The area also features several bars that serve adult beverages that you can bring anywhere within the confines of where we will be.
• Things will likely wind down around 9pm.
• There will be a fun activity planned to get you socializing!
