Talks:
"Building Performant UI's"
>> Can using a different RGB format work and save image space? Have you ever been asked about your application's FPS and had no way to respond? Percentage layouts are coming, are you prepared?

Bio: Brian Plummer has been an Android developer for five years, with the first three and a half at Touch Lab and the remainder at The New York Times. He's passionate about Android development and solving problems.

"Your Brand in the Material World" Droidcon NYC 2015 preview talk
>> As developers adopt and evangelize Google’s material design philosophy, the question of how we can design beautiful, platform-aware experiences for Android users while keeping brand in focus is as pressing as ever. This talk will briefly unpack the question of branding in material design, examining current practices, what it means to "go material" and how to effectively and appropriately brand your product while fostering a cohesive, delightful user experience.

Bio: Liam Spradlin is a mobile designer at Touch Lab, and a visual designer working on the web, iOS, and Android. He's worked with a number of independent developers on apps like Nova Launcher, AllCast, and Today Calendar, creating compelling interfaces and experiences. His approach with any design is to figure out the essentials - what does it do? What does the audience expect? How can we best facilitate the former and satisfy the latter? We'll also have a lightning talk/demo from Testfire’s Robert Chea, who will demo the installation process for the Testfire SDK.

If you've got a presentation or a lightning talk that'll benefit the Android community, send it to Olivia!
