June Meetup: Navigating your UI + Clean app design w/ architectural components

Details

It's time for our first official summer meetup at Button (http://usebutton.com) :)
Join us for drinks, talks, and good chats on the rooftop.

First come, first serve - please bring ID. Space is limited so we'll be checking the guest list to ensure we have a comfortable time.

Talks:

Navigating your UI, Liam Spradlin
The material guidelines define a number of different navigation components, and knowing which combination works for your app can be tough. We'll unpack some of the details around tabs, nav drawers, and bottom nav and take a brief look at how to mix and match to cook up the perfect navigation scheme for your users.

Clean App Design with Architecture Components, Chuck Greb
Handling lifecycle events, maintaining view state, and persisting data are all common challenges on Android that have contributed to the widespread adoption of clean architecture patterns like Model-View-Presenter (MVP) and Model-View-ViewModel (MVVM). Architecture Components is a new collection of libraries announced at Google I/O to aid developers in managing these same nagging issues. This talk explores how Architecture Components can be leveraged in an app already using clean architecture principles to help make your code even more flexible, maintainable, and testable.

Many thanks to Tyler, Missy, and the Button (http://usebutton.com) team for coordinating with us!
