We know it's a busy week...however, if you're interested in Kotlin Multiplatform this event from our friends at Twin Cities Kotlin User Group shouldn't be missed!

---------

Shawna MacNabb and Tyler Jones are programmers working on Meetup's apps for iOS. Both started using shared code written in Kotlin Multiplatform Mobile (KMM) on their most recent project.

Come hear the story less told: the developer experience of using KMM from the perspective of full-time, professional iPhone programmers.

Learn the answers to useful questions, including:

  • Does Swift play well with Kotlin code constructs? Are there any tricks to make it better?
  • How do you handle string translations across shared code?
  • How have the Android and iOS-focused developers worked together on this project?
  • Are there any gotchas?
  • Now that you're working with Kotlin code, how do you like them Apples?

-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Touchlab is expanding the team again! We have some really cool projects lined up for you!

As KMM adoption continues to grow, we want to work with engineers who want to help shape the future of the platform. We’re looking for someone who has Android/Kotlin experience and is eager to dive into KMM development. The ideal candidate has some iOS experience, but we know most Android devs need to learn these skills, and we’re the best place to learn!
