Harriman Spring Hike! Tuxedo-Mt. Ivy to Triangle Loop

Let's enjoy the spring flowers on the Tuxedo-Mount Ivy to Triangle Loop (+ optional Parker Cabin add-on) in Harriman State Park. This is a moderately challenging hike with many rocky ridges, scenic viewpoints, Lake Skenoto, and blooming trees!
Trail Information:
- Location: Meet at Tuxedo train station parking lot
- Distance: Approximately 7.5-10 miles (loop) (optional add-on to Parker Cabin=10 miles)
- Elevation Gain: 1,620-1950 ft.
- ETA: 4.5-6 hours
- Route:
- From Tuxedo station parking lot, walk on East Village Drive and loop around to the left onto Grove Drive to trailhead.
- From Tuxedo station parking lot, walk on East Village Drive and loop around to the left onto Grove Drive to trailhead.
- From trailhead, go left onto RED-Ramapo-Dunderberg trail 0.2 miles
- Veer left onto YELLOW-Triangle Trail 1.25 miles
- Turn right onto BLUE-Victory Trail - before the river crossing - this junction is easy to miss! Stay on BLUE-Victory all the way to Lake Skenato 1.25 miles
- OPTIONAL ADD-ON: From blue Victory a very short distance, turn left onto RED-Ramapo-Dunderberg trail all the way to Parker Cabin 1.5 miles, then take YELLOW-Triangle Trail down to Lake Skenato .8 miles. This adds an extra 2.3 miles (1 hour)
- Lunch Break at Lake Skenato
- From Lake Skenato, take YELLOW-Triangle Trail past the end of the lake 1.15 miles
- At the junction, veer left onto WHITE-White Bar trail 0.2 miles (note White Bar goes both ways - take the left-veering trail)
- WHITE-White Bar turns into RED-Tuxedo/Mount Ivy trail- take that all the way back to the first junction 2.15 miles
- Go left onto RED-Ramapo Dunderberg (RED) trail 0.2 miles back to the starting trailhead

Trail Tips:
- Parking: Limited parking is available near the trailhead on Grove Drive; hikers are often advised to park in town near the Tuxedo train station.
- Route: The loop often combines the Tuxedo-Mount Ivy (Red), Triangle (Yellow), and sometimes the Ramapo-Dunderberg (White) trails.
- Difficulty: Described as moderate, with some steep, rocky sections
