Cycling the Schuykill River Trail

The Plan:

We will cycle about 50 miles in PA and do a loop with the Schuykill River trail. We will start in Bala Cynwyd, PA.

We will start 11am and make our way to Phoenixville for beer and lunch. Phoenixville is one of my favorite towns in PA. It has loads of breweries and the Main Street is closed to traffic on the weekends.

We will depart Phoenixville at around 4pm and make our way back to Bala stopping on the way to get dinner in Manayunk.

How are we getting there:

I can drive two people with bikes and I am hoping more people join in. If we don't have enough cars people can reach Bala Cynwyd from NYC via Amtrak or a combination of NJ Transit and SEPTA.

I will set up a chat a few days before to coordinate rides or mass transit for this ride.

Please bring lights for your bike and spare tube.

Road or gravel bike preferred but hybrids are okay. If you have a bike but haven't ridden it in a while make sure you give it maintenance or take to a bike shop for maintenance. if you need to rent a bike we can give you some suggestions on where to rent in NYC or Philly.
