Museum Mile Festival on 6/10/25

Join me for a captivating and enjoyable evening of visiting museums on Fifth Avenue. We will experience a blend of numerous artistic medium, from photography to grafitti. This event will offer a perfect mix of social interaction, and museum experience as we connect with like-minded individuals who share a passion for exploring museums and art.

I have selected a number of less visited museums until we reach the most famous one. Don't miss out on this unique opportunity to discover hidden gems and uncover the spirit of our beloved city.

There are a total of eight (8) museums that will participate in this event, but we will try to visit six (6) of them.

1. The Africa Center at 110th Street (where we will meet) - we will explore the photography exhibition of Between Nostalgia & Dreams by Yusuf.
2. El Museo del Barrio at 105th Street - Candida Alvarez: Circle, Point, Hoop and music to enjoy.
3. Museum of the City of New York at 104th Street - Above Ground: Art from the Martin Wong Graffiti Collection
4. Cooper Hewitt, Smithsonian Design Museum at 91st Street - Making Home - Smithsonian Design Triennial
5. Neue Galerie at 86th Street - Austria Masterworks from the Neue Galerie
6. The Metropolitan Museum of Art at 82nd Street - our final stop will be the exhibit which was the theme for the Met Gala, Superfine: Tailoring Black Style.

This MeetUp will be for only 10 members. It will be crowded and a small group is easier to manage so we can view all these museums. Since we are starting with the smaller museums, these will be 15-20 minute visits.
