Alive and Kicking: 8 Contemporary Artists Thriving in Chelsea Galleries

Dear All:
Despite the cold weather, it was exciting to get a quorum of 16 during January for our last art gallery walk was in Chelsea. For that walk, we focused on artists who were largely no longer with us, tremendous figures in the art world including Louise Nevelson, Irving Penn, Carl Andre and others.

Our upcoming walk will be in Chelsea again, but the twist is that this time we will be seeing only art by Living Contemporary artists who are still working today. These are artists that we may know less about for sure. They are not yet in Art History books, and yet they are being shown by top galleries. We wan to get to know them. As always, I will brief you on who they are, what their practice is about and what we might want to consider as we look at their output.
