Case Study: GIS & BIM - Digital Tax Map System for the NYC Department of Finance

Details

Cheryle Cranbourne and Aditi Patel of LiroHill and Shiori Sasaki of Esri will present an overview of BIM & GIS integration and share a case study of how this integration was used on the Replacement of the the Digital Tax Map System for the NYC Department of Finance.

TOPICS:

  • Application of BIM and GIS integration to urban land records management to improve efficiency in upstream and downstream processes and accuracy/accessibility of information for the government and public.
  • Prerequisites to successful BIM and GIS integration and the importance of georeferencing, and the value of visualizing building data in 3D as well as 2D
  • Access and utilize authoritative geospatial datasets for example, national infrastructure datasets, FEMA flood hazard areas, and climate data to improve health, safety, and welfare outcomes in the AEC industry.
  • How BIM and GIS integration is applied across different industry sectors and domains, from urban planning, airport terminal operations, and infrastructure development.
