The Flatiron School // Access Labs are proud to support the Blockchain Devs Study Group. This is a regular gathering for Blockchain Devs of all levels to learn, present, work on in collaboration with one another or on solo projects in this fast-growing field. Our community is a welcoming space where any Ethereum and de-centralized ledger related question is fair game, be it beginner, intermediate, or advanced.

About:
We will be revising transport and protocol concepts, check out their specs, and understand the basics of process addressing with Libp2p. As we are doing so, we will learn more about low level p2p networking and how to possibly create peer to peer applications without the blockchain. Technically BitTorrent could be considered a proto-Dapp right? ;).

Next, we will look at a sample project that uses IPFS. I am going to work on it before hand and update the link.

Lastly, we will take a deep dive into the basics of Ethereum and its concepts. Then we will see a sample smart contract.
