8½: by Federico Fellini. Tuesday April 29th, at the Film Forum.

Details
One of the greatest films about film ever made, Federico Fellini’s 8½ (Otto e mezzo) turns one man’s artistic crisis into a grand epic. An early working title for 8½ was The Beautiful Confusion, and Fellini’s masterpiece is exactly that: a shimmering dream, a circus, and a magic act. Marcello Mastroianni plays Guido Anselmi, a director whose new project is collapsing around him, along with his life... considered one of the best Italian films ever made! (Also an inspiration for Woody Allen's Stardust Memories).
Please buy your own ticket; these screenings often sell out! We will plan to meet in the lobby 20 mins before the screening, and will plan on heading out for cocktails and food afterwards (probably at Houston Hall, across the street). Please RSVP if you're planning on coming! My number is 917-523-7502 if you can't find us at the theater. Hope to see you there!
