Pierrot le Fou is a 1965 romantic/crime/drama/road film written and directed by Jean-Luc Godard, starring Jean-Paul Belmondo and Anna Karina. It is Godard’s 10 feature film, and is considered crucial viewing for fans of the French New Wave. The Paris theater is running a series of Godard’s classic films in the next month (Breathless, Vivre Sa Vie, Band of Outsiders, et al) in tandem with the imminent release of Richard Linklater’s new film Nouvelle Vague, a comedy-drama about the filming of Godard’s Breathless.

Please RSVP if you are planning on coming! And please make sure to buy to your tickets ASAP, as these screenings often sell out. We will meet in the lobby before the show (look for me; I have white hair and will be wearing a Criterion t-shirt!), and after the show we will go out for drinks to discuss. I will be in seats G110-G111.

Hope to see you there!
