**Our events are co-organized by multiple groups so don't pay attention to the RSVPs. Our events are consistently well attended. Members just get tickets and don't RSVP.
Our 50 & Over Social Walks are an extremely popular way to make new friends and meet others in a safe and unique setting. This event is very casual and non-awkward + our host will help to make introductions.
Enjoy a fun way to meet others while also getting some fresh air and some exercise while seeing the park. Little Island provides a one-of-a-kind relationship between nature and art—a break from urban life and a connection to spontaneity and joy. It's become NYC's newest and hottest attraction!
We'll make several stops along the park so that people can take pictures and admire the beautiful views. We'll circle the island a couple of times and then afterwards, we'll continue the walk along the Hudson River.
During the walk, you will randomly be paired with others in the beginning then rotate at designated times so that you get to meet everyone participating. Afterwards, you're welcome to hang out and exchange contact info with others.
FAQs:
Where to meet? Exact meeting location with host contact info will be sent to all paid attendees day of the event.How many will attend? We are limiting the # of attendees so that there's enough room for everyone to feel comfortable.
What if rains? We will email attendees a new date.
Can I come alone? Yes, about 90% come on their own.
Ages? 50s & Over. Gender balance is not guaranteed but we usually get a good mix.
How much? $15-$25 depending upon when you get ticket and spots left.

Paint In Central Park - A Bucket List Event

You're invited to this fun, creative, social, and fun event! We will be painting in Central Park under the guidance of a master artist! Please bring something to sit on (towel is fine).

DIRECTIONS TO FIND THE GROUP:
We are located in a cul-de-sac at PINETUM EAST. We will be behind this row of benches (right under the trees). If you are coming from the east side you can find us by entering Central Park on East 84th street. Walk up the ramp, cross over the road and head west. If you are traveling from the west side we are east of the basketball courts. We will email you with more precise instructions after you sign up.What to expect:
• Step-by-step, group-oriented painting instruction, which is designed to simultaneously entertain and enlighten our members.
• We'll have a professional artist guide you through a featured painting that is yours to keep and proudly display. And don’t worry — no experience is necessary.
• 2 hour course lead that teaches you the art of mixing colors, blending and painting techniques.
• All supplies provided - 12x16 pre-sketched canvas, unlimited acrylic paint (water based), brushes, and aprons.

When login to the event, you'll get to see all of the other participants via video on Zoom. The event host will then pair you off into smaller teams of about 6 people per group and you'll be working as a team against the other groups. After the event, we'll leave the event open for about 20 minutes so you can exchange contact information with anyone else from the event. This is a great opportunity to make new friends. Typically about 65% of the attendees are singles so it's even a chance to possibly meet that special someone!
FAQ:
Do I need to know how to play the games? Absolutely not! Our friendly host will explain how to play each game and it's a super relaxed environment. We're all about having fun and welcoming new people.If I have friends or family members that don't live with me, can they be put on a team with me? Yes! We'd say about 75% of participants sign up on their own but if you have any friends or family members that want to join, they can too (simply message the host at the beginning of the event and ask to be placed on the same team as them). Each player needs to buy their own ticket. If you have a family member/s that is same household as you, they are welcome to sit next to you and you can play along with you but each device needs to purchase their own ticket.
If I attended a past event with you, can I sign up for this one? Yes, In fact we never use repeat questions and we always change up the games so feel free to sign up with as many of our upcoming events as you'd like!
How do I join the event? After you sign up on to Eventbrite we will send you a link with an invitation to join the event. We'll send you that link by the day of the event. If for some reason you don't see an email from us by the event date, make sure to check your spam folder in case it ended up there by accident.
What is the age range? All ages (Over 18) are welcome. We usually have a good mix of ages.
How many will be participating? We expect between 15 and 25 people.
