What we’re about
Join in for NYC Drawn to Stories – Art & Laughter, a live storytelling and creation night where you’ll hear real, funny stories, then draw, color or paint your reaction—while sipping coffee and building connections. On our theme nights, you’ll also swap drawings with someone else and they tell a story inspired by YOUR sketch. We’ll host featured storytellers, give each story-teller five minutes on stage, and offer optional feedback (oral or written) to help sharpen your voice. Plus, we hold occasional Zoom sessions on “The Art of Storytelling” for story idea workshops, technique deep-dives and community practice between events. Storytelling • Drawing • Laughter • Community — all in one welcoming room.

We all have that one gift — the awkward gift, the cheap gift, the “what were they thinking?” gift.
storytellers will share their funny “stupid present” stories… and you get to sketch whatever comes to mind.

- Listen to five funny storytellers / sketch comedy
- Draw, color, or sketch your reactions, interpretations, or inspired madness
- Enjoy a light sketch-comedy vibe as the room fills with art + laughter
- Share your drawing (optional!)
- Get inspired to express your own stories visually
