join us for a relaxed online Story Lab where we explore *how* stories get made — from generating ideas and shaping scenes to adding humor and keeping your creative voice alive. Whether you draw, journal, write, or tell stories out loud, you’ll leave with fresh tools, new inspiration, and a few laughs.
This is a **casual, low-pressure session** designed for creatives at any level. No performance required — just curiosity and good vibes.

### **What we’ll do:**

**The Funny Finder Exercise**
We take a simple everyday scenario and brainstorm together: *Where’s the funny?*
Examples: missing your subway stop, awkward gifts, weird overheard conversations, odd neighbors — life’s small moments with big comedic potential.
**Live Drawing (Optional!)**
Doodle, sketch, or color while we talk. If you want, you can hold it up or screen-share at the end — totally optional, zero pressure.
**Creative Flow Discussion**
Share tips, creative habits, drawing or writing tools you love, and how you turn small sparks into full stories.
**Community Hangout**
A friendly space to meet other storytellers, sketchers, and creative folks from the NYC Drawn to Stories community.
Come talk process, find the funny, and refill your creative tank — all from home.
