NYC Math Tutors & Solo Builders: Virtual Hangout

Hey everyone! I've been hosting in-person meetups for Brooklyn math educators and solo builders for the past few months — good people, good conversation. This time we're going virtual so anyone can join, not just folks who can make it to Park Slope on a Friday.
I'm Jin — former NYC math teacher, now a private tutor and solo founder building Lumimos (lumimos.ai), an AI math tutor. I left the classroom three years ago to build it, and I've learned a lot since — about teaching, about kids, about what actually helps them think.
Here's the format: I'll share what I'm working on with Lumimos — what's working, what I've gotten wrong, what I'm still figuring out. Then we open it up. The question I most want to talk about: how are you feeling about AI in education right now? Excited, worried, both, neither — I want to hear it. And if you're building something yourself, or thinking about it, even better.
No agenda beyond that. No pitch.
