I hate opera, but I made an exception for "The Amazing Adventures of Kavalier & Clay," based on Michael Chabon's "birth-of-the-comics" fun novel. (I highly recommend giving the novel a read, even if you're not a fiction enthusiast.) The opera was an excellent, creative adaptation, with lots of projections behind the singers of comics being drawn. Hope you guys had a good time whilst I was enjoying the finer things in life.
But so much for snooty, nose-in-the-air high art opera - it's time to get furry again! As usual, we'll be meeting at Le Pain Quotidien, on the right side of the 85 Broad Street office tower in the downtown financial district.
And also as usual, please bring any goodies you'd like to share or show off: games, art (SFW only), etc. Be prepared to order lunch (or just a cuppa if you're on a tight budget) because their food is great and the staff are good people.
BY THE WAY, I might ask some folks to accompany me home (upper east side) after the event to help me create a duct tape dummy for my next fursuit - "Jeepers!" the rabbit. I'll know for sure before our meet-up
