Greetings, gents. Let's gather for an early-spring evening of world-class plant-based ramen and lively conversation on Sunday, March 29, at 6:00 PM at ippudo V in DUMBO, Brooklyn. From the team behind the legendary Ippudo tonkotsu shops, ippudo V reimagines Japanese comfort food entirely plant-based — think rich miso ramen, crispy Vrooklyn Gyoza with three house-made dipping sauces, sushi rolls, and bold tsukemen noodles.

This is a men-only event. We will be ordering from their à la carte menu, which offers lots of choices for ramen, appetizers, and sides. After dinner, there are plenty of places to walk to in that neighborhood, for those who feel like stretching their legs.

New policy starting with this event: When you RSVP, a $20 deposit is required. This deposit will be applied toward your dinner bill when you attend — so it's not an extra charge, it's money you're spending on your own meal. The deposit is refundable if you cancel by Friday, March 27 at 6:00 PM (48 hours before the event). After that cutoff, the deposit is non-refundable, and the RSVP will close.
This policy is in place out of respect for the restaurant and fairness to everyone involved. When we reserve seats and people don't show, the restaurant absorbs that loss — and that's not fair to a small business that set aside space for us. (Meetup.com might add a small fee on top of the $20 deposit. That fee goes to Meetup.com and cannot be applied towards your dinner bill.)

As always, everyone will be paying for his own food plus tax and tip (minus the $20 deposit), so bring with you some cash for convenience. Please RSVP by Friday, March 27, so we can confirm our headcount with the restaurant. Can't wait to veg out with you!
