The first NYC Android Wear Hackathon!

Location: Google NYC: 111 8th ave
Use the 16th st entrance of 111 8th ave (next to the Citibank)

Saturday and Sunday, August 23,24 :
9am-5pm each day (no overnight) - doors open 8:30am
(if you arrive after 12:30pm you must use the 15th st entrance next to Chase)

9:00am: Welcome reception, Announcements, Tutorial

10:00am: Design Sprint

12:30pm: Lunch

12:30pm-5:00pm Hacking note: mentors will be available

5:00pm: adjourn to local bar/restaurant

Sunday:

9:00am: Hackathon resumes

12:00pm: lunch

2:00pm: Project submission deadline

2:00pm -4:00pm Presentations

4:00pm- 5:00pm judging / awards / closing

Guests should enter through the 16th street entrance of 111 8th avenue. The entrance is on 8th avenue next to the Citi Bank. We'll have a registration desk set up where guests can get a building pass and a google security badge. Guests will need to wear both badges during their visit.

The registration desk will be open between 8:30am and 12:30pm. If guests arrive after 12:30pm, they should go to the 15th street entrance of 111 8th avenue (on 8th avenue next to the Chase Bank) and sign in with building security.

After checking in, a security guard will badge guests through the turnstiles and up to Water Tower cafe.

RSVP on this page for the hackathon but please don't RSVP as a place holder, RSVP only if you are committed to attend both Saturday and Sunday, Aug 23 and 24, if your plans changes please update to open a slot for those on the waiting list!

Prizes: Winning team will receive vouchers for an Android Wear Watch! (limited to up to 4 watches)

Judging: There's no specific theme - however there will an emphasis on originality - watch faces are allowed but again - must be original and must follow Android Wear Design guidelines. Full rules will be posted
