Senior Software Engineer

Dorothy Kucar is a senior software engineer working in digital advertising. She started off as an academic at the University of Waterloo in Waterloo, Ontario, Canada and found her way to the IBM T.J. Watson research lab where she worked in computer hardware design for several years. More recently she switched gears to software, where she is currently enjoying working with distributed computing paradigms in digital advertising. Dorothy has a BMath in Applied Mathematics and a PhD. in Electrical Engineering, both from the University of Waterloo. Dorothy is heavily involved in the NYC area outdoors community: she and her friends run the largest outdoors Meetup group in the Northeast. She’s also been on a segment of The Today Show on NBC!
