How to Stop Overthinking — Life Coaching Mini-Workshop (30 Min)
Details
This is a 30-minute, free focused mini-workshop designed to help you understand why overthinking happens and what actually helps when your mind won’t stop spinning.
Overthinking often feels like problem-solving. The mind tries to find the right answer, avoid mistakes, or think through every possible outcome. But instead of producing clarity, it usually creates mental traffic. The same thoughts replay again and again. Decisions stall. Energy drains.
Most people simply call this experience “overthinking.” But when you look more closely, overthinking usually appears in three distinct mental patterns: rumination, decision paralysis, and future worry.
Each pattern has a slightly different feel in the mind, and each one requires a different way of interrupting it.
In this session, Certified Life Coach Aiden Murtagh (Sensei Aodhán) walks you through a simple psychology-grounded framework that explains why the brain falls into overthinking and how to break the cycle when it happens.
We will explore the three main forms of overthinking:
Rumination
Replaying conversations, mistakes, or past events again and again.
Decision Paralysis
Getting stuck analyzing options and trying to find the perfect choice.
Future Worry
Mentally simulating what might go wrong before anything has actually happened.
Once you understand which pattern you’re experiencing, the next step becomes much clearer.
You’ll learn practical ways to interrupt each one and redirect your mind toward action instead of endless thinking.
You’ll:
• Learn why the brain falls into overthinking
• Understand the three most common overthinking patterns
• Identify which ones shows up most often for you
• Learn simple ways to interrupt the loop when it starts
• Leave with one practical reset you can use immediately
The goal of this session is to help you recognize when thinking stops being useful and how to shift back into clear action and forward movement.

No hype. Just tools that work.
