WE ARE LOOKING TO ADD SOME FIRST TIMERS. PLEASE READ WHAT I WRITE CAREFULLY. DO NOT RUSH THE RSVP PROCESS.

This event will be relatively fast paced, fun and interesting-but this is a biased opinion.
We are going to navigate across three different areas in Brooklyn.
Over the years, we have done this event in the day and sometimes at sunset. And I have led a modified version of this event for the Guides Association of NYC but this event will be even better.

The description of this event and how we do things is so long, I sometimes forget what I wrote. Humor me and keep reading.

Meetup charges an Organizer like me to run the group, it's not a fortune, although the amount was raised substantially and I spend much time and effort planning and preparing for an event. You can contribute whatever you want at the BEGINNING of an event IN CASH. (On most events, I will NOT accept any monetary contributions).

UNFORTUNATELY NO GUESTS UNLESS YOU HAVE ATTENDED AN EVENT BEFORE-if you are a first timer your guest can sign up just as you did.

Registration will be limited to 15-20 members.

Join us on a fun, interesting but fast paced sunset hike of around 5-6 miles as we explore historic Vinegar Hill & Dumbo and Brooklyn Bridge Park. There will be great waterfront views and hopefully a very nice surprise at the beginning of the event. I will stop from time to time to briefly talk about what we are observing. THERE MAY BE AN OPTION TO WALK OVER THE BROOKLYN BRIDGE.

BRING FOOD AND WATER FOR A SHORT DINNER BREAK IN BROOKLYN BRIDGE PARK. THIS GROUP NEVER STOPS TO BUY FOOD ON AN EVENT!

I am also going to ask that people not post any comments or questions prior to the event. You have more than enough information to do this once you get the meeting details. No offense, but I don’t need to know-and probably neither does anyone else- what you are doing that day if you can’t make it or what you think the weather will be. AFTER the event, post as many comments and photos as you like.

If the weather forecast is really bad, I will post a notice on the day of the event BEFORE 1:00 P.M. If there is no notice, we go. We will start and finish near public transportation.
