Light in the Darkness: A Service of Peace and Comfort
Details
This gathering nurtures a space of stillness and serenity amid the hustle of the holiday season.
We will reflect on poetry and scripture, accompanied by meditative music from a string quartet. The Rev. Meredith Ward will offer a reflection, and the Eucharist will be celebrated.
During communion, all are invited to light a candle and receive personal prayers for healing, strength, and comfort from the clergy. Following the service, we will share a light meal in the back of the church.
As we approach the winter solstice - the longest night of the year - this service offers a rare hour of quiet in the warmth and intimacy of St. Bart's beautiful chapel.
This is a gentle, welcoming space for anyone who could use a little light, and especially for those walking through grief, loss, or a season of wilderness.
Whether you're new to Imagine Worship or a regular participant, we would love to welcome you this Thursday!
