Abstract:
How do we unnecessarily lose 40-70% of our work days to "Death by 1000 Cuts"?
This talk will cover the history of the 7 Wastes first established in manufacturing, and then translated to software development. We will cover their legacy, engage in group exercises, and discuss ways to address and mitigate these challenges in our workplace. Participation is strongly encouraged!
About the Speaker:
Malik Graves-Pryor has been an active, passionate, and agnostic learner of multiple agile methods and frameworks since he was introduced to Scrum by one of his co-workers in 2008. Since becoming a dedicated agilist in 2012 after 15 years as a developer and systems architect, Malik has focused on fusing agile and technical disciplines in his coaching approach to help turn the theory of agile into delivery reality for the teams and orgs he works with. Malik is the co-founder and principal consultant at Natoma Consulting and continues on his path to increased learning and understanding.
