Writing group meeting in Washington Heights

So, here's a new twist for this group. (Spoiler: polkadots.)

But first: We'll be meeting in Washington Heights (or maybe Inwood? hard to say), at the apartment of long-time member Chris, who will be slaving over a hot stove for a day or so before, putting together a respectable number of vegan dishes and (if we have this right) two cakes.

The twist: If you have them, or if you just happen to go thrifting between now and then and find some, wear polkadots to this meeting. Yes, really.

Chris has specifically made this request. And why argue. He's been with the group since 2014, and if he says polkadots -- AND cooks a kitchen full of food, including two cakes?! -- then polkadots it is.

It's a weekend afternoon meeting, so we'll take a 90-minute window to kick it off at the start, from 1:30pm to 3:00pm. Show up for as much of that as you want, and then we'll start the quiet writing hour.

(You can bring food too! And drinks! And fyi, it doesn't have to be vegan. Chris won't even scowl at you.)

The night before we meet, I'll email all the details including the address to everyone who's on the RSVP list. For now, the only other thing that you should know is that the building has an elevator (the apartment is on the 3rd floor), but it's not super reliable and is sometimes out of service. (Chris has gotten stuck on it twice.)
