Chuck Braman Trio featuring vibraphonist Behn Gillece

For our third event featuring one of my bands, I've chosen my vibraphone trio featuring Behn Gillece: http://www.chuckbraman.com/vibraphone-trio-quartet.html

Attendance was sparse at the first two of these events, but those that braved the unpleasantness of Times Square were quite enthusiastic regarding the quality of the music and the comfort of the venue. To quote: "My wife and I went to the meet-up last night. We had a terrific time! The venue is great, and the music was what we hoped for: real jazz. I highly recommend this meet-up. The seating area near the bandstand is well suited to a smallish group of listeners/drinkers. We will return. Join us!" It would be nice to establish this room as a new jazz venue (the only one I know of in the Times Square vicinity, apart from Birdland), so I hope to see a few more of you this time!

The Broadway Lounge, is on the eighth floor of the Marriott Marquis in Times Square. It's a plush room, with good acoustics, stunning views of Times Square, great food (the best of the four Marriotts I've played), and a really comfortable area near the band for eating/hanging/listening/talking and getting to meet one other. (The seating area I'm describing is just out of view, on the far left; raised, and in the foreground on the left is where my band plays.) There is no cover charge.

Because of the timing, I won't be scheduling a formal meal before the event, but will assume that many of you might like to eat during the event. I'll look forward to joining you during our breaks.

5-9:00 is the time we'll be performing, which makes the gig a convenient stop after work as a great start to your weekend.
