A Practical Guide to the "Open-Source Machine Learning Masters"

Details
Abstract:
The higher education paradigm is changing; it is increasingly possible to become a relative technical expert in your field with information freely available online. To wit, for some, this approach—clearing your schedule, turning off noise, and spending many months in focused study—may prove more effective than pursuing a formal Masters degree itself. This talk gives a highly-practical guide for doing just this: the motivation, costs, logistics, professional branding, strategic insight and more re: designing the "Open-Source Masters" for yourself.
