Annual Pre Meet Magento NY Hackathon

What is a Hackathon?

A hackathon is an event organized by the community. It is a conference workshop versus casual meetup event. During the day, developers program in small teams and follow up with presentations (see format below). In the evening it's time to go have a beer with the other participants and, particularly, make lots of friends and have fun!

The purpose of a hackathon is to just take a step back and resolve the problems that we suffer from on regular days, but we usually fix it with a few dirty fixes or until a less busy day (All which is: never).

Magento Hackathons

The first Magento hackathon took place in March 2012 in Germany, and in early 2014 we even have had an online hackathon spanning 8 countries.

Who should attend the hackathon?

Anyone with extensive PHP knowledge and some Magento experience is welcome. It is important to have these requirements so that you can have a meaningful experience at the hackathon and can really contribute something.

What do you need to bring?

• Your laptop with a clean version of Magento 2.2 installed.

• A Github account

• Ideas for projects to present for hacking

Tickets to Meet Magento NY must be purchased separately and are not required to attend the hackathon.
