Ruby Nuby Info Meetup Launches!!! ?www.meetup.com/ruby-nuby-info/

Ruby Nuby Info is a ?member-driven group dedicated to the first year of learning Ruby Programming and Rails Web Framework. Our members range from those completely new to programming/Ruby to experienced, professional Rubyists. We only assume that one knows how to press the power button on a computer.

While one can learn Ruby in a university or by themselves, Ruby Nubies feel it can be a much richer experience to bootstrap our learning experience with the guidance of experienced Rubyists and amongst ourselves. As we go, we build learning tools to help reinforce our learning, to assist those who follow us and as a way to give back to the community. Nubies learn better by sharing the lessons learned from those who have come before us. We are a community of contributors.

We may have different goals and time frames associated with learning Ruby. Some may be a: Total Ruby Nuby(completely new to programming and Ruby), Partial Ruby Nuby(new to Ruby but exposed to programming), Transfer Ruby Nuby(new to Ruby but is working professionally with other languages). Yet, we understand that by working collaboratively in our learning process and contributing to a group effort, we are able to achieve our long term individual goals faster, add to the collective intelligence, build community and assist those who follow.

If you are a Nuby, Wanna-Be Nuby or a professional Rubyist who wants to share what you have learned with others then please join us.
