Foliage Photowalk at Greenwood Cemetery

As promised, we are returning to Greenwood Cemetery, where many famous historical figures were buried, as well as an enchanting landscape. There are so many beautiful memorials, tombs and stones along with ponds, some ducks, flowers and foliage. This is a great opportunity for those who own wide angle lenses. Oh, and this photowalk is FREE!!

We will meet at the main entrance located at 500 25th Street (@ 5th Avenue) in Brooklyn at 12noon. Subway stations nearby are the R to 25th Street, and the D, N, R to 36th Street.

The Cemetery will have free maps available at the entrance, or you can download the map here: http://files.meetup.com/1605023/green_wood_map.pdf . We may have to break up into smaller groups.

“Green-Wood Cemetery is an active and working cemetery. Please be respectful of funeral services and those visiting loved ones.

Photography is permitted. Please ask for a copy of our Photography Policy at our main entrance. Professional photography, including use of lights, stands or other equipment, as well as publishing of any photographs taken at Green-Wood, requires written consent of The Green-Wood Cemetery.

Filming and videotaping are strictly prohibited without advance permission and require written consent of The Green-Wood Cemetery.

Food, beverages, and alcoholic beverages are prohibited on Cemetery grounds.”

• Be on time! This event starts at 12pm sharp!! So, give yourself plenty of time to travel. Check for service changes or delays. I will not wait for latecomers and I will not answer calls and messages after 12pm.

• Maximum to attend is 100 (including 2 guests per member), and there is no waiting list.

• Dress appropriately for the weather and definitely wear comfortable shoes.

• Make sure you charge your batteries, empty memory cards and pack light.

• After the event, there are a few places to eat nearby. There is no guarantee that I can find a place to accommodate a large group, so please keep that in mind.
