Central Park Sunset Stroll

It’s been awhile, so we're heading back to Central Park for an evening stroll. Something we might not want to do alone but there is always safety in numbers. Let's start the weekend off with a late spring after work evening in the park.

Friday May 1st at 6:45 pm

Weather permitting, we will meet across the street from the Guggenheim Museum, corner of 5th Ave & East 88th St.

The nearest subway stations are:

• 86th Street (4, 5, 6) & • 86th Street (Q)

Golden Hour starts at 7:37 pm Sunset at 7:51 pm

We will enter Central Park through the 90th Street entrance and walk around the Jacqueline Kennedy Onassis Reservoir while enjoying "golden hour" and sunset.

Then we will continue around the reservoir and through the park down to Belvedere Castle for nighttime illuminated shots, and then our final stop will be Bethesda Fountain, where you can do some long exposures.

Any and all cameras from professional models to cell phones are welcome at our events. Folks at all levels of expertise are also welcome.
General purpose zoom lenses are suggested but bring whatever you might feel comfortable with remembering it will be a low light evening. Bring a tripod if you wish, but understand that using your tripod will be at your own risk. Be aware of your surroundings and don't block pedestrians / runners / cyclists / etc..

Please make sure to not wander off, stay aware of the group and stick together especially after dark.

Please be on time! The NYC Subway System is a hellscape of unimaginable delays that will wreak havoc on your mind, body, schedule, and soul. Plan your trip with some extra time! The “MyMTA” app is highly recommended.

• Bring snacks and water to stay hydrated.
• It’s a good idea to relieve yourselves before arriving at the meetup. Public conveniences are few and far between, and may not be open.
• Don’t forget your camera, charged batteries, and empty memory cards!!
