Paint & Chill at FiDi (Oculus WTC)

Hello NYC artists, let's get outside and paint some of NYC's iconic buildings and architectural designs in FiDi, including Oculus, the 9/11 Memorial Pools, and One World Trade Centre.

Bring your own materials, whatever media you are comfortable with. I recommend something fast and easy to use - watercolor, acrylics, pencils, ink or even a digital painting tool (e.g. iPad and digital pen). It doesn't matter if you're an expert or totally new to drawing/painting, this group is for everyone who just wants to be outside and be creative! I also recommend bringing some water and snacks for yourself, and perhaps a blanket or something to sit on.

We will meet right at outside the Oculus WTC at the 9/11 Memorial Pools - please try to be on time so you can meet others and pick a nice spot to paint! I’ll be holding a basket of white hydrangea so that you can recognize me, I'll wait for a max of 10-15 mins. Please check back here the day before the event as I might make changes based on the weather.

We might optionally go for lunch at a local spot afterwards, feel free to stick around for that!

INSTRUCTIONS ON HOW TO GET THERE:

Best way to get there is to take a 1 subway to WTC Cortland or R/W to Cortland St. You could also take any of the other subway lines that stop at Fulton St and walk there (10 mins).
