Meet via Zoom to practice public speaking in a supportive and safe group setting. Get actionable feedback from peers! You can join without obligation to speak during the exercises we do.

Public Speaking Group Agenda (45 minutes)

  • 1.⁠ ⁠Welcome & Brief Introduction (2 minutes)
    > Quick round of introductions (name + one word to describe your mood)
    > Outline of today’s agenda
  • 2.⁠ ⁠Table Topics (15 minutes)
    > Rapid-fire impromptu speeches
    > 5-6 participants get 1–2 minutes each to respond to surprise prompts
    > Focus: Thinking on your feet, clarity, and confidence
  • 3.⁠ ⁠Picturesque Description Storytelling (15 minutes)
    > Each speaker describes a scene, place, or moment using vivid imagery (2–3 minutes each)
  • 4.⁠ ⁠Kick-Off Simulation: Starting a Meeting (15 minutes)
    Participants take turns opening a mock meeting (2–3 minutes each)
    > Focus: Clarity, tone-setting, presence, and purpose
    > Optional variations: Corporate meeting, creative team huddle, nonprofit planning session
  • 5.⁠ ⁠Wrap-Up & Feedback (2–3 minutes)
    > Group reflection and quick feedback
    > Share one takeaway or strength noticed in a fellow speaker
