What we’re about

This is a time limited group whose sole purpose is to support eachother as we work through the Assertiveness Workbook by Randy J Paterson PhD.

The Assertiveness Workbook is an action oriented self help book focused on improving communication through assertiveness techniques. This group is for anyone who is ready to work on developing their assertiveness. We will work through chapters together, weekly, and offer eachother support and a sounding board for difficulties or questions that come up as we do the work.

The book has 16 chapters and we wil lcover one topic/chapter per meeting. It is not required to be present for every meeting but you will get out of it what you put into it. The book itself is designed to let you tackle whatever topics are most relevant to you at the time. You might find that a chapter you skipped becomes relevant later. That said the first of the book forms a foundation that will be helpful for all other chapters.

It might help to take the Big Five Personality assessment. The Agreeableness scale in particular will be interesting for each of us to consider.
