WITNESS empowers people to use video to expose human rights abuses and create change. Over the past 20 years, WITNESS has partnered with over 250 human rights groups and organizations in 80 countries and trained thousands of activists how to strategically use video as an advocacy tool.

Chris Michael, WITNESS' Video Advocacy Training Manager, will share a new online training initiative designed to help meet the needs of activists interested in its methodology that WITNESS cannot train or partner with. Currently in its alpha testing phase, the Video Advocacy Planning Toolkit will be launched this summer as an online and offline resource. Chris hopes to share the research and great (and not so great) examples of e-learning for advocacy that WITNESS did when planning the Toolkit and share the lessons learned and challenges thus far in the development. He hopes that there can be a group discussion and sharing of related experiences - and that he won't need to speak in the third person.
