Who is this event for?

The goal of UX Hackathon is to teach you effective strategies for creating powerful online experiences. If you are new to UX, consider this your crash course. This event is a great opportunity to see first hand what methods UX designers use to increase purchasing and sign up new users. We’ll dive into common tools like Sketch App and Invision for prototyping. Learn to build a clickable wireframe that’ll turn guests into consumers. For more advanced designers, get to know the science behind the best websites and apps. Prizes and recognition await the team that builds the best clickable wireframe.

Part I: Hackathon

To kick off the day, Laurence Adrian, senior UX designer at Dom & Tom will lead a presentation on what biological and psychological factors influence our decisions and what strategies UX designers can use to create high conversion websites. After the presentation, we'll review methods for rapid prototyping using Sketch & Invision App.

Now you're ready to build your own clickable wireframe for onboarding and purchasing!

At 12:00 O'clock, we’ll break for lunch. There will be FREE pizza, snacks, and refreshments! Attendees will then have the opportunity to form teams. Each team will be given a use case to develop a high conversion onboarding experience using Sketch and Invision App. At this time feel free to ask questions and get help building your clickable wireframe (prototype).

At 4:00 O'clock, each team will have five minutes to present their prototype to a panel of judges.

At 5:15, the winning team will be announced and crowned victorious.
