Hello, more coming soon on the new focus of this group to expand to various ways to impact the city/state/country/world in a positive way by volunteering in NYC. We will be involved with the best volunteer opportunities NYC has to offer! We will work with various groups in NYC including New York Cares and many others. We will also be active in various activism movements, charity organizations, community service NYC, and MORE!
The Alzheimer's Association is currently looking for volunteers for their NYC Walk to End Alzheimer's. The Alzheimer’s Association Walk to End Alzheimer’s is the world’s largest event to raise awareness and funds for Alzheimer’s care, support and research.Our success is driven by our participants and volunteers like you who want to advance the fight against Alzheimer’s disease, while helping to facilitate a fun community event.
We hold four walks throughout New York City. The 2017 events are as follows:
Queens- Saturday, October 7th, 2017, Little Bay Park
Staten Island- October 14th, 2017, Clove Lakes Park
Manhattan- Saturday, October 28th, 2017, South Street Seaport
Brooklyn- Saturday, November 4th, 2017, Kingsborough Community College
We have volunteer opportunities for individuals and groups who are interested in supporting operations on the day of the event. Proof of participation is available.
