Tribeca art galleries: New hotspot!
Details
NOTE: THE MEETING PLACE WILL PROBABLY CHANGE AFTER I SCOUT THE WALK LATER THIS WEEK. THE CURRENT LOCATION IS A PLACEHOLDER.
Tribeca has become the hottest neighborhood for current art in the city, according to the new york times, with a flood of new gallleries opening recently. Those include a few high-end galleries, migrating from former powerhouses like Chelsea and Midtown, and many smaller more innovative places showcasing the best emerging artists. I will take you to what I think are the most interesting and beautiful galleries, followed by late lunch at a large nearby Chinese food court. You can bring your own food or buy it there. |
TRANSPORTATION: Q, N, R train to Canal St. Please check MTA planned service changes for weekend changes on your subway lines.
