While Flushing is known today mainly as a huge Chinatown, it actually has a rich history dating back to the 1600s, with old mansions as well as temples of many faiths--including a spectacular Hindu church that we'll enter at the end of the walk and a large Buddhist temple that we'll also enter.. We'll explore those treasures, then dine if you wish at the city's biggest and best Chinese food court.

OPTIONAL LATE LUNCH/EARLY DINNER: New World Food Court. Buy something or bring your own. There will be a short rest stop midway through the walk, where you can eat a snack that you brought.
TRANSPORTATION: 7 train to Main St. Flushing.
NOTE: G train will not connect with 7 this weekend.
To connect, take F to 42nd St. or N or W to
Queensboro Plaza.
