Evening Gallery Hop - A Members Appreciation Event/Limited Space

PLEASE ONLY RSVP AFTER YOU HAVE READ THE DESCRIPTION OF THE EVENT CAREFULLY AND ANY COMMENTS I MIGHT POST.

THIS WILL BE A FUN, FAST PACED EVENING GALLERY HOP IN CHELSEA AND I THINK IT WILL BE A WILD RIDE FOR A NUMBER OF REASONS.

I HAVE DONE MANY, MANY GALLERY HOPS OVER THE YEARS IN ALL DIFFERENT NEIGHBORHOODS. They are always fast paced and a bit insane but in a good way!

There are NO food breaks. Eat Before or After the event. If this presents a hardship to you, try to deal with it. Don't be a baby!

WE HAVE A LOT OF RULES. SORRY-I CAN’T HELP MYSELF.

I do NOT plan to announce this event to All members of either NYC Wanderers or NYC Hiking Tours. I want to primarily reward those members of either group who have supported me in the past 12-15 months by attending multiple events. Space will be limited.

THERE IS A VERY SLIGHT CHANCE THAT I WILL ADD ANY MEMBERS WHO I DO NOT KNOW BECAUSE THIS IS A MEMBERS APPRECIATION EVENT AND THERE IS LIMITED SPACE. IF I DON'T KNOW YOU, YOU MUST SEND ME YOUR E-MAIL TO [bsb2@att.net](mailto:bsb2@att.net) as soon as you join the wait list. This will help me communicate more effectively with you. If you cannot abide by this simple request, you are going to end up on the NOT going list.

The wait list for this group does NOT operate in a conventional way. Those on the wait list will NOT be moved to the going list automatically.
I do NOT believe that the Meetup waitlist works well for a number of reasons.

We are going to visit many, many, many art galleries and will not spend much time in any of them. If your attention span is similar to that of a fruit fly (and there was one flying around in my apartment a few years ago), this event will be especially appealing to you. Of course, if you see a gallery you like, you can always come back on your own. And that's why we do this. (Photo is a painting I just bought of Staple Street in Tribeca-not Chelsea-that will look familiar to some of you.)

I am going to ask that people NOT post any comments or questions prior to the event. You have more than enough information to do this once you get the meeting details. No offense, but I don’t need to know-and probably neither does anyone else- what you are doing that day if you can’t make it or what you think the weather will be. You may even think you have some deep insight into something or other. Please keep that deepness to yourself. AFTER the event, post as many comments and photos as you like. PLEASE RESPECT MY WISHES ON THIS.

I will be reluctant to cancel this. If the weather forecast is really bad, I will post a notice on the day of the hike by 1 P.M. If there is no notice, we go.

We will finish AROUND 8:15 p.m. near West 34th Street, Hudson Yards and Penn Station. Of course you can leave any time.
