This is a short drive (1/2 to 1 hour away from NYC). We will do a short entry level hike and then take advantage of the National Park Week FREE admissions day to visit the Thomas Edison National Historical Park nearby (normally it's $10 admissions)
Carpool fee: $12 from NY and $10 from NJ

Part 1: Please come experience a fun, exciting, enjoyable hike of Eagle Rock Reservation, it is a 3.5 miles loop hike that circles the reservation, following footpaths and unpaved roads, and reaches a panoramic viewpoint over the New York City skyline.
From the parking area, proceed ahead to the 9/11 Memorial. This beautiful and inspiring memorial to the tragic events of 9/11/2011 is located at a panoramic viewpoint, from where the World Trade Center was visible.
