HIKING AT BEAR MOUNTAIN LOOP
Head out on this 3.8-mile loop trail near Bear Mountain, New York. Generally considered a challenging route. This is a very popular area for hiking and running, so you'll likely encounter other people while exploring. The best times to visit this trail are April through November. Although relatively short, this great hike features some scrambling up rock slabs as the trail climbs to the Perkins Memorial Tower. Located near Hessian Lake in the Hudson Valley, this loop trail is a great option for a day trip from New York City. Be sure to arrive early as Bear Mountain State Park is a popular destination for hikers and runners on weekends.

DEPARTURE/RETURN SCHEDULE
Depart Date: May 17, 2025 Saturday. Please arrive 15 minutes earlier. Van will depart sharply on time with or without you.
Depart 8:00 AM from Queens: (Across street from Sheraton LaGuardia East Hotel) 135-20 39th Ave, Flushing, NY 11354 (Map). Subway lines (Main St-Flushing): 7.
Depart 8:45 AM from Midtown NYC: (ViVi Bubble Tea) Corner of 43rd St and 9th Ave New York, NY 10036 (Map) Subway lines (Times Sq-42 St): A, C, E, 1, 2, 3, 7, N, Q, R, S.
Depart 9:00 AM from NJ: (North Bergen Park & Ride) Commuter Parking Lot, North Bergen, NJ 07047 (Map) Please wait near the bus stop. Note: Daily parking is $10, includes the bus transit.
Return Date/Time: Depart around 3:00 PM, and expect to arrive at NJ 4:30 PM, midtown NYC 5:0 PM & Queens at 6:00 PM
