Details

HIKING SAME'S POINT, ICE CAVE TRAIL, VERKEERDERKILL FALLS
Experience this 6.9-mile out-and-back trail with 1,053.1 ft elevation gain near Cragsmoor, New York. Generally considered a moderately challenging route, it takes an average of 4 to 5 hours to complete, with . This is a very popular area for birding and hiking, so you'll likely encounter other people while exploring.
Much of the trail follows a nice crushed gravel path. Exploring the ice caves requires navigating down some steep rocky steps, through some narrow corridors, and up some small ladders. Verkeerderkill Falls offers a nice view and mountain laurel can be seen blooming during the spring. There isn't much tree cover so bring sunscreen and enough water!
