CITY OF CAPE MAY
Cape May, NJ, is a charming seaside resort at the southern tip of the Cape May Peninsula. Known as "The Nation’s Oldest Seashore Resort," it boasts stunning Victorian architecture, earning it a National Historic Landmark designation. The town is famous for its beaches, fine dining, shopping, and vibrant arts scene, including festivals like the Cape May Music Festival and Exit Zero Jazz Festival.
Cape May is also a top destination for birdwatching, with over 400 recorded species, and offers ecotourism experiences like marine mammal watching and fishing trips. The Cape May Harbor supports a thriving fishing industry, making it the second-largest fishing port on the East Coast.

Depart Date: Jun 7, 2025 Saturday. Please arrive 15 minutes earlier. Van will depart sharply on time with or without you.
Depart 6:00 AM from Queens: (Across street from Sheraton LaGuardia East Hotel) 135-20 39th Ave, Flushing, NY 11354 (Map). Subway lines (Main St-Flushing): 7.
Depart 6:40 AM from Midtown NYC: (ViVi Bubble Tea) Corner of 43rd St and 9th Ave New York, NY 10036 (Map) Subway lines (Times Sq-42 St): A, C, E, 1, 2, 3, 7, N, Q, R, S.
Depart 7:00 AM from NJ: (North Bergen Park & Ride) Commuter Parking Lot, North Bergen, NJ 07047 (Map) Please wait near the bus stop. Note: Daily parking is $2, and multiple day parking is allowed.
Return Date/Time: Depart around 7:30 PM, and expect to arrive at NJ 9:40 PM, midtown NYC 10:00 PM & Queens at 10:40 PM

TENTATIVE TRIP PLAN

### Morning: Travel & Arrival

  • 6:30 AM: Depart NYC by car (about 2.5-3 hours) or take a bus from Port Authority.
  • 9:30 AM: Visit the Cape May Lighthouse for stunning coastal views and a bit of history. (Extra $12 to climb the lighthouse). Optionally, visit Cape May Bird Observatory nearby.

### Mid-Morning: Sightseeing & Exploration

  • 10:30 AM: Stroll through Washington Street Mall, a charming pedestrian shopping area with boutique stores and local crafts.
  • 11:30 AM: Take a "Cape May Trolley Tour" to explore the town’s Victorian architecture and history. (Extra cost $20). Optionally, visit the Emlen Physick Estate, Cape May’s only Victorian house museum.

### Afternoon: Outdoor Adventures

  • 12:30 PM: Lunch at Rusty Nail, a laid-back beachside spot with great seafood.
  • 2:00 PM: Relax on Cape May Beach—rent chairs and umbrellas from Steger Beach Services. Or Cape May Whale Watch & Research Center for a chance to see dolphins and whales. (Extra cost $50; Code WEB15).

### Evening: Sunset & Return

  • 5:30 PM: Enjoy a sunset cruise or grab dinner at The Lobster House, a classic seafood spot with waterfront views.
  • 7:30 PM: Depart Cape May for NYC.

In consideration of being allowed to participate in any way in NY Ski & Snowboard Club events and activities, the event participant acknowledges, and agrees that:
