FLUME GORGE
The Flume Gorge is a spectacular natural chasm stretching 800 feet long at the base of Mount Liberty in New Hampshire's scenic Franconia Notch State Park. Carved by ancient glaciers, its soaring Conway granite walls rise up to 90 feet high and narrow to just 12 feet wide in some places. Visitors can experience this rainforest-like environment up close by walking on a curated system of wooden boardwalks and stairs built directly over the rushing waters of Flume Brook. [1, 2, 3, 4]

KANCAMAGUS SCENIC BYWAY
The Kancamagus Highway (often called "The Kanc") is a famous 34.5-mile scenic drive along Route 112 in New Hampshire. It cuts right through the White Mountain National Forest and connects the towns of Lincoln and Conway. It is most famous for bright autumn leaves, mountain views, and waterfalls.

LODGING
We will be staying in a big house near Artist's Bluff, with 6 bedrooms, 9 beds (1 king bed, 4 queen/double beds, 4 single beds), 2.5 baths, 1 fully stocked kitchen, 2 living rooms, & a dedicated workspace. We will max out at 15 people. The house is 14 minutes drive to Artist's Bluff.
Features: Indoor fireplace, balcony, free WiFi , TV, microwave, dishwasher, coffee machine, hair dryer, washer, dryer.
Essential Provided: Towels, bed sheets, shampoo, soap, and toilet paper (Bring your own conditioner)

NYC → Franconia Notch State Park
6:40 AM Leave NYC.
11:45 AM Arrive at Franconia Notch State Park. The park stretches through the White Mountains from Flume Gorge to Echo Lake. 9
12:00 PM - 2:00 PM Flume Gorge
Admission $18 online; $21 walk-up (1.5-2 hours) 12

Lunch Woodstock or Lincoln: Woodstock Inn Brewery or Black Mountain Burger
2:30 PM The Basin Beautiful natural granite pothole and waterfall. One of the easiest and prettiest stops in Franconia Notch. 5 (Time: 30 minutes)
3:15 PM Echo Lake Optional beach admission ($4). Great reflection photos of surrounding mountains and foliage.
4:30 PM - Artist's Bluff (Sunset)

• About 1.5-mile round-trip
• 45-90 minutes
• Spectacular overlook of Echo Lake and Franconia Notch 1011

One of the best foliage viewpoints in New Hampshire.
6:15 PM Grocery shopping & check into the hosue.

DAY 2 • Sunday, Oct 11
Kancamagus Highway + Moderate Hike + Waterfalls
7:00 AM Drive to Lincoln.
Scenic Drive Kancamagus Highway
Considered one of New England's premier foliage drives.

• Sabbaday Falls One of the prettiest waterfalls in the White Mountains. Easy 0.7-mile walk.
• Rocky Gorge 20-30 minutes.
• Lower Falls Excellent foliage views beside the river.

10:30 AM - 12:30 PM Mount Willard Hike (Moderate) Located in Crawford Notch State Park, which offers hiking trails, waterfalls and mountain views. (The best moderate hike on this trip.) 6

Cost Included in the Trip: 2 nights shared accommodation (sharing a queen/double bed) near Artist's Bluff. Round trip transportation from NYC area & tolls, daily transportation between the house & activity destinations, & parking fee if any. $10 tips for the van driver is required & will be collected on the returning trip.
